Create system to monitor sensors, cameras, and control devices
Build a scalable system to monitor sensors and control devices located up to 4km from the main computer.
This system will monitor sensors, and control devices in your environment.
Features:
Range is up to 4km
Power can be supplied by the Solar module described below
Easily scalable
This board is Lora client and collects data from input sensors and responds to commands from the PC (Lora Master. It has the following:
Raspberry Pi Pico (2MB Flash, 264 KB SRAM)
DS3231 Real Time Clock Module
AT24C32 32K (4096 x 8) EEPROM
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Ultrasonic Sensor
RYLR998 Long range (LoRa) transceiver module (up to 4km)
General purpose FT232RL FTDI USB to TTL Serial Adapter Module Type-C USB (optional)
General purpose RGB Led, Common Anode
Switch input (open/closed)
Prototype area
GPIO pins available in prototype area
To communicate LoRa modules are used, these have long range capability, so its ideal for communicating with devices that are not in the range of Wifi.
Use COM port to send/receive commands to/from Pico modules
Uses RYLR998 master to communicate with RYLR998 clients located on Pico boards.
FT232RL FTDI USB to TTL Serial Adapter Module Type-C USB
This board takes input from a solar panel and provides Voltage that is used to power a Pico. When the sun is present it will power the board and charge the battery, if sun is not available it will switch to the battery for power.
Uses TP4056, 1A Li-Ion Battery Charger
18650 Rechargeable Battery 3.7V Li-ion 9900mAh
Automatically switches to battery when there's no sunlight
IRF4905P MOSFET Transistors for switching between battery and charging modes
5W Solar Panel with Micro USB-C
