This is the interface board that communicates with LoRa Modules. It  has a RYLR998 transmitter which has a range up to 4Km. It is extremely for sensors that are out of reach for the local WIFI system.

Since the RYLR998 requires 140ma, it is powered by the components in the dashed area. Any USB power adapter should be able to handle this requirement.
